of your Secret 2 Despatch of the 20th August transmitting the Annual Report for the year ended 31st March, 1941, on the Hong Kong Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve and the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force.

I have read the Report with great interest, and have been pleased to note the efficient manner in which the officers and men of the Hong Kong Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve and the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force have continued to carry out their most useful and necessary duties.

3. The Report was also communicated to the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, who have asked to be associated in the above remarks.
